Attention Mary Ann!

This is the train. 😉😆

Metro North Hudson Line. This is an absolutely gorgeous train ride. 85 miles of the Hudson River and it's west shoreline, from NYC to Poughkeepsie. George Washington Bridge, The Palisades, Tappan Zee Bridge, West Point. It's easily worth the fare just to get on with a bag of snacks & drinks and just ride it for a few hours.

A little gray cloud over the day...
Standing on the platform in Ossining waiting for the hop to Tarrytown, a couple of Dept. of Corrections vans pulled up and dropped off a bunch of women and little kids, who logic would tell me we're coming from visits at the prison.
It was a little sad to watch on the face of it, but good for those kids who were little enough to just get to spend some time with daddy without having to understand the implications surrounding it.
And even good for the fathers. If there's a soul in there somewhere, I imagine these Sundays help keep it alive.
