Friday Night Micro-Book Review!

Executive Orders by Tom Clancy...mostly just the last few pages

All I'm sayin' is, in the Tom Clancy novel "Executive Orders", when President Jack Ryan found out that the leader of the fictional newly-formed nation the UIR, Mahmoud Haji Daryaei, had launched a biological weapons attack on the United States, he put a thousand-pound smart bomb with a camera in it's nose right in Daryaei's eye, right in his bedroom, right in the middle of Tehran, while the whole thing was being livestreamed worldwide, including Daryaei watching himself watching the bomb coming right in his window on his own TV.

That's some hardcore Level 5 "emphasizing a new doctrine" right there. 😉

Can you even imagine how badly the Big Guy and the Milleypuff Girls from the Pentagon would've fucked that up? 😆

Also, while I'm here... In the movieverse, Harrison Ford is Jack Ryan. It's not even a discussion. And I say that despite a fine performance from Alec Baldwin in the pretty good "The Hunt For Red October". If Clancy and Hollywood could've worked out their business disputes, they might've had a killer 6-7 movie Jack Ryan series, with Harrison Ford piloting it all the way, as big as or bigger than Indiana Jones.

Also... Ben Affleck is NEVER Jack Ryan. And I say that despite a fine performance from Ben Affleck in the pretty good "The Sum Of All Fears", which to me doesn't count as a Jack Ryan movie because it was so far off from the book, but was actually a pretty good movie on it's own anyway.

Also... In the books, including this one, Ed Kealty is pre-dementia Joe Biden. Clancy fans, am I right? 😏

Totally hypnotized myself into cracking open the Kindle and reading now. 😑
