Help me out, fam.
I'm compiling a list of things I want the 118th United States Congress to do in their first week, once America takes the house and senate back from democrats in the '22 midterms, and presuming that the republican party doesn't fuck that all up. 🙄
Tell me if this is worthy to add to it.
Find every federal law there is that in any way pertains to social media, and repeal every single one of them. They're invalid, and are being comically exploited, in ways no one was even thinking of when they were written. Mark Zuckerberg was getting his ass kicked for his lunch money in a middle school bathroom in Westchester when the Section 230 protections were put up. You've got MySpace laws governing a Meta world, and you need to write new ones, tout-fucking-suite.
And while we're here...
There is no way imaginable that Joe Biden could've gotten "elected" without big tech social media driving the DemSoc narratives and squashing all information that could potentially be harmful to the campaign. Twitter crushing the NY Post's reporting on Hunter Biden's laptop alone saved the Biden campaign. It's not even a discussion. That's election interference, so let's get crackin' with whatever investigations you need to go through that lead toward federal indictments falling on Silicon Valley like rain.
I don't know if that's two things or just one big ugly one, so we can leave that open for discussion.
The other things on the “Do This In The First Week" list so far are a bill that mandates Biden Voter Passports for the 55-60 million people who actually voted for Joe Biden, because people should be allowed to know when they're around. And getting rid of the filibuster.
So, add gutting all social media laws to that, or no? 😃
If you're caught boinking a foreign spy you are immediately relieved of your duties and can never hold elected office again. Not even on a local town sanitation board.
Turn our oil back on.
