It's not often when I don't know what to say...
...but this one punched me in the guts.
A local healthcare worker who's a regular was in our store today, and told me that over the past three months, 2-3 kids from this area have died of drug overdoses every week in her hospital.
I asked her several times to say the numbers again, because I couldn't believe it...and they did not change. It was staggering to me.
I pointed out the lack of coverage in the local news about this, and she said it was because they're mostly wealthy, upscale families, who didn't want it getting in the papers. And I imagine that here in New York, which is one of the "proving grounds" for DemSoc ideology and methods, they'd just as soon not prominently display that sort of information in the media. They've got enough crisises to juggle right now, and this one is convenient to ignore.
This area has some of the most affluent zip codes in the nation. These are not street kids living in unhealthy environments, with bad influences and little hope for their futures, like most of us think of when we hear about things like this.
These are kids who had everything, except for someone who was paying attention to what they were up to.

Probably also kept under wraps because of the illegal drugs laced with feytnal following from the border to all kids (rich or poor) and so easy to get.
In addition, the left doesn’t want to acknowledge what the forced school shutdowns have affected our kids.
And whatever they overdosed on most likely walked right across our southern boarder. But no, according to that jackals Myorkas, the boarder is closed. What's it gonna take?
