I've Finally Figured It Out

Took me 14 damn months 🙄

In 1978 a movie called "Magic" was released, starring Sir Anthony Hopkins, Ann-Margret (who must be 90 and I still have a schoolboy crush on 😏), Burgess Meredith, and a ventriloquist dummy named "Fats".
It was a psych-thriller about a  ventriloquist/magician (Hopkins) whose mental health problems allowed his crude and homocidal Id to control him, through "Fats" the ventriloquist dummy.

The studio hyped the hell out this movie, and ran a TV commercial constantly with just the ventriloquist dummy's face on a dark background doing a creepy narration and the movie's tagline.

It's been gnawing at me for over a year, since I first heard of Kathy Hochul when she took over for that gangster Cuomo, who she reminded me of. And it finally hit me.

She's "Fats" the ventriloquist dummy from Magic! 😆

It's all there. The forced and uncomfortably overdone grin. The polished wax facial sheen. The botox-induced wooden rigidity of that visage.

Or maybe it's just a G-World Saturday night oddbrain-chemistry thing, and I'm the only one seeing it. It could be that. 😏
