There's no huge standout for me, and there's about five horses I think could win, assuming they survive the start with the ridiculous herd of horses they run now. ๐Conventional wisdom says go with Forte, but I think he's overrated. However, as usual, I don't know shit, so don't go betting on my say so.
I'm going with Tapit Trice. Beautiful gray horse, currently the #2 pick behind Forte. He's got a huge ass like Flightline who was a monster last year. Real good run in the Blue Grass Stakes. And the name's pretty bad ass. That's it. That's my โsystemโ. ๐
Who ya got, Fam?
There's an old adage in greyhound racing that the one who poops just before getting into the starting gate has the best chance to win, due to suddenly weighing that much less, I guess. I'll have to wait and see which horse lays out a few apples on the way to the start.
The Arkansas Derby and Wood Memorial have usually been good indicators. Never ignore the trainers nor jocks. Great ones make a difference.
I Own 2 that run in a lower level and I never bet them. Superstition.
Got one running Keenland Friday.
