A ‘real life’ friend of mine and longtime PCS'er (who can step up and claim this if they like), got tagged with this notification on a post yesterday, which is the first time I've seen this particular “weapon of mass suppression” used by the Menlo Park Community Guidelines Task Force…
Nice, right? 😑
So here's my question to you…
Has anyone ever, in the entire history of the internet, seen a “Meme” that wasn't an “altered photo”?
Let me spare you about three seconds of ‘off the top of your head’ thinking…
No, you have not. An “altered photo" is precisely what a Meme is. That's a fundamental defining characteristic of a Meme. Every facking Meme ever posted anywhere is an “altered photo”!
So why is this friendly but formal reminder of the ‘community standards’ compliance expected of us all over there, NOT being applied to every Meme on Facebook, from “Cats w/ Hitler Mustaches", to “Food Fails”, to “Mexican Word of the Day"???
Because this new mechanism in Facebook's suppression arsenal is going to be subjectively laid upon posts that don't line up with leftist ideology…just like every other one of the vague, fluid “Community Guidelines" crimes that the big tech social media powerwhores ‘make up as needed’…to keep all the “riff-raff” like us as quiet as possible. Because that's what they do.

Sooo, we now have to make sure anything we post is "certified" by the "International Fact-Checking Network" ?
Glen, our freedom of speech really is gone, isn't it. I received a notification that I was following too many conservative sites and was "advised" to check out and follow a list of sites, they provided, to insure I didn't pass on misinformation or they would have to limit my ability to access my choice of sites. I declined their "offer" and now every time I try to follow a conservative page the page disappears. There is no recourse. Am I being gulaged?
I don't know how to do screenshots (really, I don't know). I'm not tech-savvy.
