Just a quick note…
The odds on us going to see that “Beer Mile have dropped considerably.
They're advertising it as a relay, which implies to me that one person would drink a beer then run a lap, then tag the next person and they drink a beer and run a lap, etcetera and so on.
Who wants to see that shit?
It's supposed to be one guy, four beers and four laps. That's the whole point. They even have a penalty for "Reversal of Fortune", which is puking. That entire element is gone if this is so.
That is neither the spirit, nor intent of this event, and would tremendously undermine the sanctity of the "Beer Mile", in my opinion.
