This is pretty much just a "formal announcement", so I'm just going ahead and announcing it.
After 50 years in business, the mom & pop hardware store where I have been employed for the past eight years is shutting down at the end of this month, for ALL the obvious reasons which you're immediately thinking of, plus other things.
I'm not going into the details of it now other than to say that this is a challenge that I'd rather not be facing at this point in my life, and that at the same time it's a potential opportunity for new, better things to happen.
As far as how this will affect the PCS Nation universe, I can confidently say that it certainly will, but it remains to be seen exactly how, and I apply the previous paragraph to that part of this as well.
There's lots to break down on this, and I will, but for now I just wanted to get the news out there to the PCS Nation Family, and take the opportunity to thank you all for your support here in this part of my world, as I start trying to formulate a plan to make the "real life" part of it work again.
We will surely speak more about all this. 😁

Best of luck G! As someone who puts in 6 day work weeks; sets leftholes straight on Twitter (excuse me, it's now just X), fights regularly with zuck's algorithms, AND manages to put out a good quantity of material on substack, I don't have any doubt you'll find your way. Opportunity doesn't always knock, sometimes you gotta chase that bitch down.
This is a great reason to leave that city and escape to a world of freedom, safety, economic sanity and air that you don't "sink your teeth in" (a quote from "Pillow Talk"). We did and are so glad.
