The Preakness is looking to me like an 'equine blowjob' for Kentucky Derby winner Mage, who probably wouldn't have won any Kentucky Derby ever that wasn't that one.

Seven horses going in the gate, smallest Preakness field in a decade.

Not one single horse from the Kentucky Derby besides Mage entered, first time that happened since 1948.

The #2 favorite behind Mage scratched this morning. And the #3 favorite is a Bob Baffert horse, who had another horse euthanized on the track this morning due to an injury in a Preakness undercard race and probably won't get sent too hard tonight.

Basically, it's Mage, three mules, two fast zebras, and a Clydesdale who became unemployed due to Bud Light.

Why?

Because it's been a shitty weird year for the Triple Crown paradigm, there isn't a single horse out there who should be mentioned in the same sentence as the legendary Triple Crown winners, and last...but not least...a Belmont Stakes with a KentuckyDerby/Preakness winner in it going for the TC is 120,000 ticket buying, wagering, beer & food purchasing, souvenir buying fans asses in the seats, which is good for Belmont Park and horse racing in general.

And a Belmont Stakes without one is just another day at the races.

Bet everything you've got on Mage to win this Preakness Stakes by about three lengths over a field of former hayride horses and assorted other livestock.

Then take all the money you win in the Preakness, go to Belmont Park in a few weeks, and bet all that money on Forte to take the Belmont.

I told you it was cynical. 😆
