Pleasantville!
Upper-middle class suburban town…or ghetto of Chappaqua, depending on your perspective. Lived here from 2016-2018, which will be chronicled in more detail soon. Voted at the same polling place as Hillary and did my part by negating her self-vote with my Reagan write-in. About as nice of an “average” town as it gets around here.
Jacob Burns Film Center
Great theater. Shows some mainstream stuff, but mostly documentaries, independents, art house stuff, etc. Incredibly reasonable for around here $16 general admission. Full disclosure...if the Yogi Berra doc was showing 2 hours earlier, I would've gone in and blown the whole rest of the day 😄
World War Two Memorial with Korea and Vietnam additions to the left and right
World War One Memorial
Generic Suburban Town Square Gazebo 😏
The Sundance Deli. A genuine Mexican deli in the middle of Plesantville NY. One of the best “home cooking" delis I’ve ever been in, AND they have since opened up the Sundance Deli & Grill right here in White Plains. THEY are Mexellent!
And right next door, my P-ville laundromat, where I accidently pulled a pair of ancient granny bloomers right out of said granny's laundry bag while attempting to help her catch the falling bag, and one time got home and found a giant black bra in my bag 😆
Bagel'd up here almost every morning
Parkway Field, home of the Pleasantville Music Festival. 2023 headliners are They Might Be Giants, The Allman-Betts Band and Sophie B. Hawkins, with about 20 other bands from pro to a local Battle of the Bands winner. This is definitely on my radar for later this summer, but ticket prices are usually pretty high. We'll see.
Hillary Clinton does not go here…as far as I EEEEEEver want to know! 😣
And for the second week in a row, finishing off the day with ice cream…which I personally think is a damn fine regular addition to the S.G.S.S. program…like I’m Joe Biden, and you tell me what to do, and if I do it I get ice cream! 😆
Pistachio soft-serve Kid's Cone at the Pleasantville Carvel!
Still more shit coming 🙄…
Many years ago my husband came home from work with a bra in his lunchbox. That's a little tougher to explain than accidentally picking one up at a laundromat.
Long story, I'll try to make it short.
Maintenance crew working on the grounds found it, and were passing it around playing jokes on all the guys. One day after he'd eaten lunch they put it in his empty lunchbox, which he never opened again before coming home. Fast forward to me finding it when I went to pack his lunch. Joke was on them, I had already heard the story of this found bra and I wasn't suspicious in the least.
That ice cream looks delish😋
