My long term pantry is the closet in the spare bedroom, put in industrial shelves and keep all the big stuff there. My home was built in 1948, there was no such thing as a walk-in pantry in those days but effecient housewives still had their "larder". I am trying to imagine if this nutjob academic just buys something to eat on the way home from her "hard-ass" job each day and even knows how to cook from scratch. Sounds like a great deal of jealousy to me.
