I made a valiant effort this weekend to go out and do normal people stuff, with other normal people, someplace where normal people stuff happens, after eight years of spending roughly 20 hours a day alone in either a basement or an attic every day.
I made some plans with an old friend I hadn't seen in awhile and went for it.
It sucked. 😆
Everything started going off the rails from the jump, and snowballed as the trip went on.
I am not fit for the real world, and I'm WAY happier here in the cyberverse with my PCS Nation Family. 😃
This pic is from the Bridgeport CT train station. We were supposed to kick things off Saturday night at a pretty cool B-port waterfront place called Captain's Cove for drinks, bar food and music. Great place sitting out on the shoreline past the bridge in the second photo. That didn't happen. 😆…
This is WWE Headquarters in Stamford CT. Day 2's plan was The Stamford Symphony, who are are now called Orchestra Lumos, who are outstanding and we'd gone to see before. That didn't happen 😆…
This was me just being a dick and trying to throw you off my trail 😏…
And a cool pic of the Acela train to Boston that I wasn't on…
This is the gross, swampy, malaria-infested puddle I found on a construction site near my friend's house, so I could do that half-assed ‘I just want to go home 😑’ Bronx River Report Sunday morning…
And that's all I have to say about this ill-conceived journey! 😃
I'll be happy to answer some of any questions you may have in the comments! 😏
Why did all of your plans go off the rails?
Nothing ventured, nothing gained. You put yourself out there and it fizzled. Doesn’t mean the next time you try with that person or another it’ll be fireworks and one helluva a time. If not that person, there’s more out there. You never know who you’ll come across on your new adventures. Stay out of the attic!
