Lots of steps, and different scenery, and a little bit of fresh salty air makes for an amazingly clear head...and made sorting out the three things I brought up earlier easy. 😃
Three things.
One...
The debt ceiling debate doesn't matter aside from the political power play between Biden and McCarthy...and that doesn't matter either, really.
It doesn't matter because when you're $32 trillion in debt, there's no way imaginable that that will ever be resolved. I was just on the National Debt Clock page. It updates every second, and it goes up $32,000 on every update. $32k per second. That can't be fixed, ever, and it will ultimately end tragically for America. It's just "when" at this point.
Two...
That crackhead asshole Hunter Biden's indictment, or not, doesn't matter aside from crossing the T's and dotting the I's on officially implicating Joey Ten-Percent as corrupt...which we all already know, even the people who have to keep saying he's not.
And no matter what happens this week between the pending indictments and Comer's presser, the Biden Crime Family corruption issue will end up being the same old "Yes You Are!...No I'm Not!...Yes You Are!...No I'm Not!” bullshit as always, and not mattering a bit.
Three...
In this current context, in this moment, the end of Title 42 matters. Because while we've all heard the hype about the massive migrant hordes waiting at the border for this or that to happen before, and it never seems to play out to be the hyperbolic presentation of it you get from the media, we can't be all "democrat" about this and wait until everything's already all fucked up before reacting. This matters now.
There's shades of "not mattering" here like the other two. It doesn't matter in the grand scheme because of it's inevitability. It's coming, and there are fewer and fewer people who understand the importance of borders all the time. So eventually, without some Level 5 hardcore intervention, common sense and cooler heads, our current workable border paradigm will go away.
And it potentially doesn't matter because of the high possibility that it's just more political theater, which won't play out like they tell you on TV, and will end up another big media ad sale rush and nothingburger.
But it matters the most of the three in the now, right in our faces this week, hyperbolic media bullshit or not, and you react to that and do something. You can't not react to it, because a mass invasion of our southern border by 10k, or 50k, or 100k people from anywhere who aren't supposed to be here affects the "right now", for everyone.
This is the one that matters this week.
It's rather concerning that these people illegally coming over our border are bringing in malaria and drug resistant TB. I guess these diseases don't make money for the CDC, so it's not a public health issue. 🙄
I agree with you because the incredible influx of people at the border will affect us in many ways such as schools, housing, more crowded emergency rooms, over worked doctors and the big one CRIME!
