Where Would You Swim?

I'm not whinin'. I'm just coming real.

One day after getting back from a 7-day block on Facebook, I click in this morning and get the following “Warning" on PCS Nation…

If I was just being a mewling little bitch, I'd point out that no one in that photo is either nude OR sexually active…so fuck off with your two-tier community standards…but that's not the point, and it doesn't matter a bit.

The point is, that post is a year old, I already got red-flagged for it twice before, it no longer even exists anywhere on PCS Nation-Facebook, and I'm getting it shoved in my face again today…because Facebook is a cesspool, run by shitty people, and they can do stuff like that.

I'm not laying out the five years of bullshit I've put up with on Facebook trying like an asshole to build the PCS brand there. We’ve wasted more time on that through the years than anything, and most of you know what's up as far as that goes.

I'm pointing out that while Facebook at this point does absolutely nothing whatsoever for PCS Nation that benefits us anymore, they can completely wreck the five years of work put into it, on the whim of some broken, inadequate scumbag in Menlo Park clicking a button, whose knees I cannot lay a baseball bat across for doing so…and the trade off simply isn't worth it anymore.

It's absolutely stupid that I'm still participating in this childish nonsense while I have such a wonderful, vibrant, bullshit-free community available to me to publish my work on Substack, where despite having a fraction of the followers as Facebook, way more people get to see it because the platform doesn't determine whether it gets distributed or not, and cannot “punish” me or flat out shut me down because they don't like my content.

This is not an “announcement” of anything. Business will carry on on Facebook as it always has, at this time.

It's just a reminder of what a silly, stupid thing Facebook is, and that I have a really, really nice place where I can express myself and share that with you without all the bullshit involved with the Facebook platform, that all of you are welcome to join me on.

And that every single day, Facebook pushes me further and further away, and that one day I'm just not going to participate in this nonsense any longer, and I'll be gone from there, and happier for it.
