Yet Another Reason Why There's PCS Nation on Substack! 😃

PCS Nation Facebook Family!

A lot of you are getting notices when you click on our posts that are asking you to take a "survey" specifically about us.

Here's the "short" version of what's going on...and it's not anywhere you can look it up in the Facebook rules, so you just have to either take my word for it or not.

When you have three "Community Standards Violations" on your page, the page is "At Risk" of being shut down and it's distribution to people's newsfeeds is reduced to almost zero. Those "violations" stay on your page for roughly a year, and when they come off the restrictions on the page's distribution get lifted.

For the past three years, Facebook has perpetually kept PCS Nation with three violations on our page, spaced 3-5 months apart, so when one falls off after a year they just pop in another one to put us back "At Risk" and under their distribution boot again. And I have the "receipts".

A few weeks ago, one of our "violations" dropped off when it expired, and within days our distribution and follower interaction started blowing back up again.

THAT'S why you're getting "surveys" all of a sudden. 😃

Because they're looking for that 3rd "violation" to put us back to "At Risk" status and zero distribution. They're also looking through old memes & posts for things they missed or that never got reported, and they're monkeying around with our 'in house' tools as well.

The accompanying screenshot shows our current status. When they find a "reason" it'll be added to the list and the yellow banner will turn red and say "Your Page Is At Risk", and then nobody sees PCS Nation in their newsfeed for four months, until the next violation drops off.

This probably sounds a little wacky if you're 'new' and haven't been on this ride with us the past few years, but I've been through this bullshit a dozen times and that's precisely what's going on.

If you get sent one of these "surveys" please handle it how ever you see fit. Take it and answer honestly or disregard it or whatever. It doesn't matter really, because whatever is going to happen is going to happen one way or another anyway. It always does, every time.

Just understand WHY it's happening.

The one thing I would ask is that if someone gets sent the survey, take a screenshot of it and either post it or send it to me. Unsurprisingly, I don't get to see it when they do this. I just get the "Your Page Is At Risk" notice afterwards. 😏
