There's a few pink varieties, and there's a jet black one two.

Cockatoos are the closest to a conventional "house pet" of the parrots. Macaws are just big loud assholes most of the time, and Greys are usually like "Faack off, I'm smarter than you. πŸ˜’" to everybody but their main handler. Cockatoos are all up in your business all day long and follow you everywhere. πŸ˜† They're shameless attention whores. Owning one is like having a three year old for 75 years.

Indeed.

Always give them a tightly closed fist to start off, like a fist bump, so they can't fit their beaks around anything.

That usually sorts out the curious nibblers from the "chompers".

I would have loved that. I have several feeders and love watching the birds. I have quite a few of the northeast songbirds. I take a lot of picks. I'm planning a trip to the Pittsburgh Aviary this summer. It's the only non-profit aviary in the US
