And any reasonably intelligent taxpayer knows that is a bunch of BS. They pay at a higher rate and use the tax code that you helped write over your too many years in the senate to get every deduction legally available. How much income have you hidden over the years to avoid paying your “fair share”? We know you and Dr. Jill used legal “loopholes” (an oxymoron if they ever was one) to avoid paying taxes on book sales and other sources of income, plus not paying taxes for your hired help. Spare us your thoughts on taxes until you and the rest of the multimillionaires in Congress pay their fair share.
Once it’s written into the code it’s no longer a loophole, it is simply the code. There are no loopholes, only legal ways to reduce your tax bill and anyone that doesn’t use every single one available to them is giving money to the govt that they don’t deserve.
I think they should report what %age of their income goes to tax lawyers and accountants to keep from paying the tax. That's an expense I don't want to have to pay either - but no fool ever elected to congress has done anything to make the tax code easy for the school teacher or firefighter to figure out ALL the available deductions...
True. They make it complicated so the little folks just go with the standard deduction rather than hiring someone to figure out all the deductions they might qualify for. Then the wealthy keep accountants and tax lawyers on retainer to get them out of paying as much as possible within the code.
And then you get your little refund that you overpaid all year long (with no interest) and say "thank you" like you think they are giving you something

Besides that it is the same old emotional talking point that has been debunked over and over again.
Good old class warfare. Hey Dementia Joe, you were in the Senate for 38 years and VP for 8.
You had plenty of time to fix the tax code. But you didn’t. The tax code is laden with deductions and loopholes. You voted on it.
Want them to pay a BS fair share?
Eliminate the loopholes or do a flat tax.
Nah, that won’t work. Billionaires wouldn’t give to campaigns and influence if there was.
Idiot

So I am not crazy? You see it too.
Yawn...teflon dems and the stupid people who believe it ....
Here's an idea, instead of raising taxes on the "rich," lower taxes for everyone else!
Let "EVERYONE" pay their "Fair Share"? No way anyone wants anything like that.....
Imagine if someone told him you also should not be able to set up a series of LLCs to hide your ill-gotten gains from he taxing authority
