Breyer knows damn good and well Joe won't be able to replace him with another bedwetting liberal mook after the mid terms. So he bails now to give Brandon time to consult with Obama on who to pick. Joe's already said the next justice will be a black woman, and I highly doubt Candace Owens is in the running for this job.

You think this isn't calculated? You think these justices aren't political? Bullshit.

A black woman as in Michelle Obama? Heaven help us...

I don't think that would fly. Besides, didn't she and Barack have to give up their licenses over some scandal in Chicago? You have to have a decent pedigree to be confirmed. I don't think Harris could make it either. Neither one is a legal scholar.

Every decision they make is cold and calculated to further "their" agenda, not ours.

Will the DNC figure out how to bribe Kamala with a lifetime court appointment so they can replace her with a VP more palatable to the people, then remove glitchy Joe? Don’t put it past them.

I guess the upside is, it signals they don’t think the midterms will go in their favor.

It was said on Outnumbered today the Breyer and Biden had talked. Joe probably said "C'mon man, you gotta take one for the team and retire." "If I can't convince you I'll have to call Hillary. "

He should appoint Moochelle. He could check a lot of boxes. Black transgender woman who hates white people.

It’s not nearly as detrimental replacing a liberal with another liberal.

Not like Garland replacing Scalia.

Harry Ass Reid removed the filibuster for judges and Mitch continued that rule change for SCOTUS, so I don’t think we’ll stop it anymore than they could stop the last three

Nothing like finding out you're retiring when you watch the news. I guess he wasn't getting around to it fast enough so they gave him a nudge. LOL

Must be a big payout for Breyer.

As horrible as this is, it could be worse. The balance of liberal vs conservative judges won’t change. And I take this as quite a sign that Breyer knows the left will get shellacked (sp?) in the mid terms and again for the next presidential election.
