I totally understand how you feel but I have to have some entertainment, especially in the winter, and other than NCIS, BIG SKY, and a couple other series I follow on network TV, I end up watching cable news and it's depressing. I enjoy some fiction, fantasy, murder mystery, supernatural stuff to just relax with especially if there's eye candy involved. If I gave up everything that I'd like to boycott I'd be drinking myself to sleep.
We don't even own a TV. We read a great deal or listen to audio books at meal time but I WILL NOT put a TV back into my home, it is the greatest propaganda machine and it leads to lowered levels of intellectual activity. There are many great authors that have written books that are entertaining - try it.
I admire your commitment to intellectual pursuit and I mean that sincerely. I know you have to take everything on TV related to politics and world affairs with a grain of salet.and a generous helping of suspicion. I used to read constantly years ago but I have a hard time with it now.
Yes, I'm going on 72 in a few months and trifocals are difficult when reading but the production value of most of what is being offered is trashy at best. I had my daughter-in-law offer her netfilx password years ago and honestly, I went on there and couldn't find a thing I wanted to watch. The last TV series I watched was the Ovation series Versailles - 2015-2018 and after that the Sherlock Holmes series with Benedict Cumberbatch. Then I gave my TV to my son and started reading again. I do a great deal of research on the internet and my Grandson and I would "Google Travel" all over the world when I watched him during the summers. We went all over Siberia, Peru, Turjikistan etc. He had a blast looking at all the different sites. TV is addictive, I used to turn it on the moment I got home from work now I don't even think about it.
We know the next Superperson is going to be a black transgendered shemale with white dreadlocks.

I have never watched any of his movies so I am way out of the loop.
I like him better as the Witcher anyway.
YES!!! He is a fine specimen of a man!! Check him out as Sherlock in the 2 Enola Holmes movies on Netflix or Amazon. Can't remember which.
Once the obamas came on board netflix it became suspect for me as to the real intent of their content. Will not give them my money - nor Amazon
