Hell, AOC voted against it, though likely because it didn’t spend enough, but still. Unreal that total lameducks would take a vote away from their replacements to do what their constituents wanted when they voted them out. What a bunch of petty assholes.

Even worse, by the time that next October rolls around these same republicans will be shifting into 2024 reelection mode and won't give AF about the country. AGAIN. Any bets on how many "emergency" continuing resolutions there will be between now and then? Or how many "we need to raise the debt ceiling or the country will default" situations come up?

I will continue to vote because it is part of the social compact I made when I was born here. Ive missed just one since 1976. But my frustration level is extraordinarily high right now. Stay safe and warm everyone. Merry Christmas, Blessed Yule, and Happy Hannukah to all who celebrate.

And it’s only a matter of time before we do default when we are about $30 TRILLION in debt and interest rates won’t be coming down soon. Debt payments will soon take 100% of revenue. The house of cards will crumble and it will not be pretty.

Yes. And it only took 2 short years of this moron and his crooked administration to do it. I don't know if they're all really this stupid or this was the plan.

And Obama doubled the debt in his 8 years with Joe as VP. He learned well.

Most DEFINITELY the plan.

They've been at it for decades, they just worked in the dark.

I'll probably still vote too but I won't expect anything good to come of it. Merry Christmas to you and I wish a blessed and happy holiday to everyone however you celebrate it ❤️

Totally with you on your thoughts. I too have never missed voting since I registered at 18 in 1974. Mom was the inspector at our local polling place in the living room so it was impossible for my brothers and I not to vote once we were registered and back then you registered in front of someone and mom was that someone! She also knew if we had absentee voted once we had gone off to college, our name would be lined through on the voter role for our precinct. I had to drive 3 hours from San Diego to home one time to because I had forgotten and she saw I had not voted and called me about it. Never repeated that mistake, lol.

Great story! The one time I missed was in the military over in Germany, and for some reason the military "misplaced " the unit's absentee ballots.

Yeah, it cost me a chance to vote for Ronald Reagan in his first election. But in 1984 I was stateside so I didn't miss his reelection.

I was ecstatic when I read here that Brian Fitzpatrick (RINO/PA) would not be in Congress next week, so I double-checked just to be sure before starting my happy dance. However, that filthy azzhole did win his reelection and will continue to be my terrible, horrible, lousy, demturd-wannabe "representative" who does absolutely nothing for PA or the America I love.

For all practical intents and purposes he might as well switch to the dems. He seems to vote with them more than he does republicans.
