Shut the damn thing down, no one will notice. At the same time they should vote to not give all the “non-essential” employees back pay, why the hell do we have any non-essential employees? Fire them all and keep only those that can actually do a full days work.
Their pay should be suspended until they start doing their jobs! Only in United States government can employees get away with getting paid for NOT doing their jobs. 😡🤬

The senators and representatives are truly the nonessential’s. Their pay should be docked $10,000 per day until someone thing is settled.
