I blame the calculator. When people stopped doing basic math in their heads, they intellectually atrophied.

I guess I am old school. I use the internet to learn stuff the same way I lived in the library.

The good old google search was a card catalog.

The dewy decimal system was like a web address. Go there and ye shall find what you seek. Lol

It is however great to recall stuff like, “what was that movie?”, because sometimes it could take days before I found someone who could recall it, now I can figure it out. 🤪

I cut a lot of slack to folks online (I have it on good authority that I am too pedantic at times), but when people are that obvious about misusing the language my teeth grind. I'm glad you mentioned it first!😃

I believe many of today's millennial kids will not be able to survive, or have a very difficult time trying, any catastrophic situation that takes down the internet and/or electrical grids.
