You are buying square inches of space on a plane for both you and your luggage. She is at least twice+ the size of your average person and should pay double or more, same as if you are over the weight for your luggage. Flying is a matter of physics, weight, thrust etc. it isn't based on "feelings"
I remember standing on line to get on a plane to Bosnia. Me and all my gear on the scale before boarding... sitting in cargo netting facing the center aisle of the plane... At a certain point, treating you like cargo is good for the civilian community too
