You got that right. What hasn’t been ruined by then will DEFINITELY be brought down during that time - for spite.

In the time it would take for all the states to ratify this temporary measure, an entire generation would die off and the measure itself would expire. Maybe a better solution would be to arrest every member of Congress and temporarily remove them from office until their high crimes and misdemeanors were thoroughly investigated. The fact that at least 75% would be bound over for trial should keep them occupied, while the new Congress was seated post haste.

We move at the rate of sludge regardless of what we do. In some circumstances that's good, but unfortunately we've accumulated so much detritus along with that sludge that we're almost 100% blocked and have no wiggle room. It doesn't make for good theatre or instill a lot of hope.

Maybe we could slip an executive order declaring a national emergency in the pile on the puppet's desk. Dissolve the 117th. Still working on how to install the 118th early. But when you think about it maybe not having a Congress at all for a couple months isn't that bad of a thing. 🤣
