And since I am sure none of them have ever been in the building industry (I’ve got 30 years there), they have no idea of the fees and everything else that goes into it that makes the costs crazy. And just because it’s for the homeless or low income people, cities and counties do not discount those fees. Los Angeles allocated a shit ton of money years back for low income housing and the council person that was to liaison on it was shocked at what it would cost to build a single unit.
