Unfortunately, some HAVE been forgiven. I personally know one whose $300,000 student debt was wiped out - unasked. She’d just called to start up pmts and found out her valence is now $0. *I* think they’ve done just enough, in strategic locations, to spread the hope. And that’s all it is, I’m sure; the hope that YOURS will be wiped out too. And, btw, I do NOT believe it is ever “wiped out” or “forgiven” - it’s simply passed on to us suckers, aka, taxpayers.
Trying to keep your employees paid when the govt shuts down your business is very different than paying off a student loan for a degree that doesn’t result in a job/career that will allow you to pay it off yourself.
Sorry to say it brother, but he is doing it. A buddy of mine in ATL had all his loans wiped. He didn't even ask for it. And, in true government form, he got an additional 5k for seemingly no reason at all. Absolutely disgusting.
I hate to burst your bubble but my daughter had her student loan debt forgiven. It is no longer listed on her credit report. Just disappeared
