Glen we rarely disagree, but I don't see how you call this a failure. Putting McCarthy in as Speaker is just as stupid as McConnell being Minority Leader in the Senate. Nothing will change with these guys in leadership. Insanity is repeating things and expecting different results. I KNOW you aren't happy with the GOP. No rational conservative could be at this point. How can we expect anything other than weakness if we accept these fucktards as leaders over and over? Mitch is in as deep with the Chinese as Biden, and Kevin is the epitome of a career beltway politician. I'm not disappointed with the members who won't vote for him; I'm disgusted with the swampublican fucksticks who won't grow a pair and kick these spineless pseudo liberals out of leadership for good.

It's a failure in that they're coming at McCarthy all guns blazing, but with no viable alternative to offer. They're just throwing shit against the wall to see what sticks, nominating people who clearly said they're not interested and people nobody even knows. What's the end game, and why did no one bring it with them yesterday? They didn't just find out about this late Monday night.

This spectacle is the worst the republican party has looked in a long, long time.

So the fact is the GOP is a failure because they don't have a viable candidate for leader. They look weak because they are weak. But caving and accepting the status quo is just another show of weakness. I say keep denying this dipshit until someone steps up. You can't get a little bit pregnant; the only way to not be weak is to put someone in that position who will fight the left with everything they've got. The job at hand is to find that person.

Yeah. It would be nice if they could pick one viable alternative to McCarthy that actually WANTS the job and enuf can agree on to get McCarthy to bow out.

He's going to keep losing until he withdraws his name and allows the Republicans to elect someone qualified and with enough cajones to deal with the recalcitrant prog/left.

Yep. It seems there's no cannon ball cajones only cotton ones in the GOP. At this point and b4 we got to this point of voting in a Speaker, it was well known that Kev boy wasn't going to get elected. After yesterday's circus performance, they (GOP) should have had an all nighter figuring out who they will vote for & telling Kev he needs to step down.

While it's nice to see transparency and as those who have previously commented our Constitution at work-at this point in our country, we literally are hanging on by a thread - this is a killer.

I laugh when I see Twitter posts saying make Trump Speaker....and then I see thia foolishness of yet again the GOP not being unified to the benefit of our country & think is this their next play??

You are correct, the dems would have been locked in a room until an agreement was reached, but then, again, no dem would step that far out of line in the first place. Kevin raises money and probably has the dirt on many so he has clout. The speaker of the house does not need to be a member of congress and if the GOP really wanted to stick it in the dems face they would elect Trump - OMG what a chaos that would be. But they better be careful that those conservatives don't vote for the dem just to kick the rinos in the nuts.

Yep! Exactly.

The GOP knew rhat rhis wasn't going to fly. It's like they don't want the House. If Trump were to be nominated that would be another shitshow in itself and definitely a no go.

At this point we should have a GOP speaker & start the accountability and helping the people. What this proves to me is wo a doubt our representatives are a bunch of grifters.

Too bad us taxpayers can't withhold our money. Too bad the donors especially the big money donors don't zip their wallets until shit gets done correctly...if the $$$$$$$ waterfall dried up, they'd act like their balls were on fire!

I honestly don't believe they wanted the House ....i think Hakeem will be speaker and it will be labeled "bipartisanship."

what we DO NOT NEED is a radicalized islamist as Speaker of the House and that will spell the end of our nation and this experiment in self government for sure. We will end up with a fascist socialist state without a Bill of Rights nor a functioning SCOTUS. We are in for the fight of our lives while these rino dickheads quarrel about who controls the pursestrings of largesse.

I agree.

I'm not, nor was I implying that is the direction I want our country to go in. We are so far, too far from the morals, values and Christian ideals that we were founded on we are unrecognizable.

However, we have WAY WAY TOO MANY RADICAL LIBERAL SOCIALIST GRIFTERS in our government who wouldn't give a rat's ass as long as they got their money!

As it stands, there's scuttlebutt that Biden and the Dem Senate will be making changes to SCOTUS (additions).

I believe we are at the point in our country my Dad often spoke of...revolution time. We have too many socialist leaders and judges in our country. These globalist politicians rely on our money as they aren't going to piss away theirs....that's the bottom line.

We need ASAP

GOD

FAMILY

COUNTRY

Agreed, the ballot box and the jury box have failed us, there is only one box left to save this nation.
