Our farmer’s market in north GA actually has local farmers selling honey, eggs, goat milk soap, veggies, awesome homemade breads, flowers, dog treats, all locally made and grown. Not near as many vendors as this one but it works for our little town.
Way different from our Farmers Market in GR. Gunny and I live out on the ridge which is dotted with apple, vegetable and cattle farms. We also have greenhouses.
Our market is loaded with all the fresh items and then some. Much more diverse too. Our normal Saturday morning date is the Farmers Market and then off to The Donkey for sangria.
Our farmer's market has multiple stands selling cut flowers. Gorgeous long stemmed bunches, very colorful. Those booths are always staffed with little old Hmong ladies. Locally produced honey is another big one.
I haven't been to my town's farmers market for years, altho I've heard its a good one with lots of local stuff. We are planting big gardens this year, and I'm planning some canning and other food preservation classes later. After years of not doing that, I'm pretty excited to get my hands dirty again. I am a fortunate one indeed.
