Democrats passed their infrastructure bill late last night. Vote was 228-206, with 13 republicans voting for it. That's okay…ish.
We needed the infrastructure bill. There's a lot of shit in it we don't need, but we need roads & bridges, internet, power grid, etc. The shit we don't need is in there due to weak republican leadership, but that can't be helped until next November.
The real problem is, now we have a pack of White House Squatters, who fuck up everything they touch, that's going to be bumbling their way through implementing all this stuff. They're gonna get to their shit quickly and efficiently. Like, the first day. After that, when they get to the things we actually need...that could go full “Level 5 Stoopid”, but that also can't be helped until next November.
Quick self-back pat...I actually ‘called’ the dollar amount on the Substack post last night. Anybody who saw that and wants to jump in and stop me from looking like a solo self-agrandizing doosh, that'd be nice. 😎
The $1.2T seems reasonable to me based upon the previous "Preposterous Democrat Spending Spree Bill" benchmark set back in 2009 by another useless lefthole president, and accounting for a rough 12-year inflation curve. It's an “acceptably offensive” amount, in my opinion. Way better than the $6T "(We've been smokin' that) Green New Deal" figure these lunatics started at.
I didn't look at the list of 13 republicans who voted for it, but I'm presuming it was all the usual suspects. One more thing to tuck away for next November.
This was a pretty solid Pelosi win. The old drunk lady broke the "progressive dumbass" caucus and got their votes, which also makes it a pretty solid loss for those skoonts.
Their real battle comes on the green new FU deal...which is up next.
Like I said, we needed this bill in some form. This is probably as good as it would've gotten, and we can pick it apart and roast whoever needs roastin’ on the bullshit parts as we go.
Drop your Saturday mornin' coffee thoughts on this, or anything at all, in the comments! 😉
I’ll be surprised if one highway is built or one bridge repaired as a result of this frivolous bill.
This is just another ton of manure we're stacking on a 1/2-ton truck. We might need the "infrastructure", but this bill will deliver VERY little of that. What concerns me more is the 13 Republican morons that voted for it. Most were from New York, New Jersey, Illinois, etc. If these idiots can't present a solid Republican front, they MUST be replaced. I realize that's hard in these kind of states, but the Democrats manage to do it when their people are elected from red states. I don't know if McCarthy can't wrangle the whole group to vote against shit like this bill, but the drunk twatgoblin always seems to wrangle her caucus to vote as one against any bill the Republicans support. Republicans must be able to do the same.
