I’ll be surprised if one highway is built or one bridge repaired as a result of this frivolous bill.

My guess is all that "Hard" infrastructure is probably what they took out and their BS "Human infrastructure" is what got passed.

Exactly. All that is left is a trillion worth of useless bullshit.

This is just another ton of manure we're stacking on a 1/2-ton truck. We might need the "infrastructure", but this bill will deliver VERY little of that. What concerns me more is the 13 Republican morons that voted for it. Most were from New York, New Jersey, Illinois, etc. If these idiots can't present a solid Republican front, they MUST be replaced. I realize that's hard in these kind of states, but the Democrats manage to do it when their people are elected from red states. I don't know if McCarthy can't wrangle the whole group to vote against shit like this bill, but the drunk twatgoblin always seems to wrangle her caucus to vote as one against any bill the Republicans support. Republicans must be able to do the same.

Upton from Michigan was one of the idiots that voted for this crap. They are all self important bags of hot air with the only goal of being re-elected. I’ve been at several public meetings that he’s attended and believe me “he’s clueless!” But to hear him talk he’s an expert.

The republicans need to grow a pair. They should be able to vote in “lock step” just like the old drunk has power over her caucus especially on bills that are so damaging to our country.

The old drunk knows where the skeletons are and isn’t above threatening harm or even death to force the vote her way.

Every time I hear the word bipartisan, I hear both sides agree how to screw over the people.

There is very little infrastructure in the bill they’re not even talking about roads and bridges and we’re never going to be able to undo this damage.

This is a victory for the ruling elites, not the people.

Okay, this will end up as a mini rant. I’ve been involved real infrastructure projects everyday since 1991. I know how the projects are planned, bid out/paid for and constructed.

Investing in infrastructure is necessity. It is also very expensive and usually planned out in 10 to 20 year sequences. Money doesn’t grow on trees unless your in DC. Not to mention prioritizing the projects according to need and the condition of existing infrastructure. The projects at the municipal and state levels are real and not made up like in DC.

The idiots in DC should just get out of the way and let the Army Corps of Engineer along with states do this. This will just be exactly like “The Shovel Ready Jobs” bullshit from 2009. Nothing got done period.

Speaking of “Shovel Ready”, President Diapers just said during his speech this morning that we’ll be seeing “The Shovel Ready” effects in the next three months. Yes, three months.

Damn, We’ve been doing it wrong. Where is my work binder with the 20 year capital improvement plan because I have to email my boss to tell him this can be ready in three months.

A lot of people don't have your insight into what infrastructure planning and execution involve. They fall for this shovel ready BS and then seem to forget about how it failed when the government dangles another pretty, shiny bill in front of them with promises of prosperity and fall for it over again. The definition of insanity: do the exact same thing over and over and keep expecting a different/better result.

Insanity yes! This particular subject really pushes my buttons. Probably a good thing the pain meds from surgery are keeping me somewhat calm.
