How long has the ERA amendment been floating around unable to pass the required state legislatures? Isn’t there an expiration on those efforts that would mean it has to start over again? Sorry Gloria, you aren’t relevant anymore.
"On March 22, 1972, the ERA was placed before the state legislatures, with a seven-year deadline to acquire ratification by three-fourths (38) of the state legislatures." It's waaay past being relevant at this point.
I knew it had been a long damn time ago. I think I read recently that a couple of states that initially passed it withdrew their approval when it stalled. I think Congress even tried to extend the 7 years and still couldn’t get there.
