Recapping, Forecasting, Explaining Positions, And DYING To Hear What You've All Got For Me On This
Clear the aisles... 😏
Let's just lay this all right out here and see how it turns out. 😃
In likely chronological order…
Trump candidate Mehmet Oz loses to a sideshow freak who can't even talk in Pennsylvania, throwing everyone's optimistic senate speculation ‘brackets’ right out the window.
Trump candidate Blake Masters is going to lose to Mark Kelly in Arizona, which puts the onus of taking a one seat senate majority on both Adam Laxalt and Herschel Walker winning their races.
Trump candidate Adam Laxalt is neck-and-neck with the democrat candidate in a dirty and still unresolved election in Nevada, which if he does lose gives us a best case scenario of keeping a 50/50 split with Kackles the VP Klown as the deciding vote. Same as it ever was.
And Trump candidate Herschel Walker is going to a run-off election in Georgia, which if all that other shit happens hardly even matters if he loses, but just for fun gives democrats a 51-49 majority, and puts republicans in a position where if something comes to the table for a vote, and they get every republican vote AND Manchin or Sinema, it still goes to Kackles on the tiebreaker and America loses.
Think about the handful of awful leftist ideas over the past few years, where Joe Manchin jumped in and saved the day on votes by going against the dems.
None of those things go the right way under the paradigm I just fleshed out.
This isn't alarmism or being a "Debbie Downer". It's a valid and imminent potential outcome, and it's real.
And when asked about this, Trump said, "I'm not the one running."
That's bullshit, and it's infuriating to me. He put his name and his brand on these candidates, in some cases against the sound advice of people who appear now to have known better. When I publish something I put my name and brand on it, and if it goes awry or proves out wrong, I have to eat that. He is absolutely running in all of this, regardless of whether he wants to be or not.
And lastly, toss in everything I've already put out there regarding his ridiculous, unsolicited assault on Ron DeSantis, who was one of the only bright spots in this republican catastrophe on Tuesday, and which if you read the cyberverse tea leaves is being soundly rejected by Republicans and splitting the party.
Now tell me why I shouldn't be upset with Donald Trump today over all of this.
And by all means, say whatever you think. But know that things like "4-D Chess/He Has A Plan/He Knows What He's Doing/etc. & so on", mean nothing to me at this point. We've been operating under that methodology since he came down the escalator, and what it's gotten us is Joe Biden in the White House, sideshow freaks and dead people winning elections in Pennsylvania, a dozen different active self-inflicted national crisises raging across the fruited plain, at least two more years of cognitive dissonant executive mayhem and insufferable unhinged leftholes in our newsfeeds…and Donald Trump sitting at Mar-A-Lago throwing rocks at a governor who’s been universally embraced by America, including most of us here over the past two years, and was the only one who tsunamilated all over any democrat faces on Tuesday.
Tell me why I shouldn’t be questioning this.
My mind is completely open.
Bring me something to make this all make sense.
Go.
Can’t argue anything you said. Trump brought this on with his choice of candidates. I hope to hell Master’s numbers go up along with Kari Lake’s. I think Walker will take my state of GA in a runoff, but only if Trump doesn’t foolishly announce a 2024 run next week. Let us get through the runoff without his impact on things, especially in light of his recent attacks on Ron. We don’t need any reasons for angry Rs to stay home like they did last time, giving us Warnock in the first place.
Trump going full out crazy couldn’t have come at a worse time. He’s all about himself and he more than likely and single handily blew any chance of controlling the Senate. I voted for him but I can’t think of any scenario where that would happen again.
