I've always been open about how dear I hold the United States Constitution.
I don't agree with every word of it, but the brilliance in foresight of the people who created it is undeniable, and it's held up and remained viable for longer than any other government charter in world history.
Maybe the most brilliant part of it is that they had the foresight to recognize that they needed to build a mechanism into this document that allowed for it to change, as the developing new nation it represents did.
That being said…
If you could create one Amendment to the U.S. Constitution right now, what about it would you change?
Just an observation, not a 'nudge'...eeeeverybody's gonna say term limits/age limits/cog testing/etc, and if that's your Amendment it's completely welcome.
I want to see who goes outside the box, with "Founder" energy and swagger, and addresses not only the ‘on TV right now’ problem, but the ‘on TV in 2223’ problem as well.
Go! 😉
Balanced budget amendment, force these yahoos to budget like everyone else has to.
Some sort of oversight on Government agencies to ensure they are working in the interest of the people not those of the people in power. Harsh punishment, including firing when they defy court orders to cough up certain documents of interest to the American people.
