DeSantis was negative on what Bragg is doing, so basically supporting Trump. Not sure why Trump decided to attack him with hints at improper sexual behavior. Unless he was just saying, hey, it could happen to him too. Whatever Trump meant he needs to stop attacking others on the right, makes him look like an angry child.

Yep

Trump is acting like a scared chump

I am not a Trump fan, I am a fan of MAGA, (Trump was smart enough to see that a MAGA movement was already nascent in 2015 and all it needed was someone with the cajones to pick up the mantle and no regular GOP type either saw this or had the nerve to do what Trump did). That being said, I will wait to see how this farce of a trial in NYC is going before prognosticating. If Trump is seen as a martyr it will divide the party completely and the dems have a good chance of winning. If DeSantis is as mature and astute as I think he is he will understand this and support the martyr just to win the office for the right. Better any GOP in the whitehouse than another dem. The dems will vote over and over for any dem put up - that's a sure thing.

Tbh, I'm really annoyed how the Trump camp is acting towards DeSantis. They're acting like toddlers because DeSantis didn't immediately come out in defense of Trump. They somehow can't see that calling someone stupid names just may not sit well? I think that DeSantis did a good job attacking the DA. However, Trump did not do himself any favors by starting off his response with the stupid Ron DeSanctimonious.

Yes!

I read 2xs the statement Desantis made and had no issues w it....

This is pure ego on Donnie's side and won't help the country....

I will support either of them. Primaries are called the silly season for a reason.

The problem that I see is the possibility that die-hard Trump supporters could stay home if DeSantis is the nominee. That could be solved if Trump rallied around DeSantis but I find that highly unlikely. We have the perfect moment in time to send the woke prog/left into oblivion and, again, the GOP is going to blow it.

Yes, very true. Too many people worship the man and not the message....

Yes. I underestimated the level of worship in some Trump supporters.

I assume we all knew he was just a flawed man with some good policies and not some deity. Trump derangement syndrome is a two edged sword.

Trump is becoming the symbol of the hypocrisy and corruption of the left in that their uncontrollable hatred of him is exposing to us their unhinged and deranged actions. They seem willing to do just about anything, from the Russian hoax to the kangaroo court of the Jan 6 affair, their unwillingness to investigate the biden crime family while combing through all the Trump family affairs (including Melania's underwear drawer) with a fine tooth comb and now all the useless investigations of his life just desperately trying to deface the man. People are weighing life under the bad orange man who made mean tweets against the price of gas, bidenflation and the covid disaster and are re-assessing what they have been told. Mind you, there are still many blind sheeple out there but if just enough are turned against these progs we may turn the tide and get a conservative in office.

They equate Trump w maga and at this point we are beyond maga, imo. There's not going to be an America to make great again very soon. America needs to be resuscitated. The Desantis thing is bc the GOP doesn't want him or even Trump they want Nikki . There was even a Twitter poll w just those 3 names, not Pence who has shown interest and remember, Desantis hasn't thrown his hat in

I am backing Pompeo at his point as the most mature, experienced and competent GOP available. That, of course, means he isn't going to win the nod if I know my GOP. Nikki is a no-go for me - put this "white" woman up against any black hag the prog/left offers up - eben cameltoes - and she loses. We need a cleansing, not an election.

I will not be voting for Nicki. I can’t see her winning the nomination. Pompeo is definitely someone I am interested in, but coming out of the CIA I’m not 100% sold yet, but I LOVED him as SoS. A far cry from the Twatgoblin or Lurch.

My SO has read his biography and he seems the most qualified of the lot and I think a ticket of Pompeo and DeSantis could win if they stepped up/continued their MAGA support and hit the prog/left where they live- crime, perversion and inflation (add in if we are unlucky the continued bleeding of our treasure to biden's ukraine and china - they have him by the short hairs). Definitely not Pence or any other governor. I do like Sarah Sanders too as a possible vice president.

Trump was hard on Ted Cruz --- Ted Cruz is man enough and American enough to mend those fences

Trump was hard on several other candidates and I will file them all with Jeb Bush... Not man enough, not smart enough and way too swampish to ever support any candidate I want to see run

DeSantis is closer to Cruz than any Swamp (Bushie) creature

I do wish Trump could see the difference

Divide and Conquer: the Democrats plan to destroy the Republic. Debate between differing views is good. Just do not supply the enemy with ammunition to use against us. No character attacks, no undermining of positions. In the lead up to 2024, it should be debate instead of war by all that oppose the evil behind the Democrats.

Why can't DeSantis just run as Trump's VP, and then go for the Presidency in '28? I'd vote for that in a heartbeat. Or Trump/Haley in '24, and then DeSantis with Haley in '28? I don't think many Florida residents want to see DeSantis run in '24, he's too busy setting shit straight down there. Let Trump have '24, DeSantis can have '28 and '32. I mean, c'mon. Seriously.

I couldn’t agree more! I want my Governor until the end of his term. A 2028 run for president for DeSantis is what I, as a Floridian would like to see.

I’ve been seeing this. Our local (Florida) newspaper is Eating down on Ron DeSantis HARD, every single day.

Your local newspaper is no doubt owned by Gannett or some other left wing media company. Those rags are not even fit to line a birdcage. I also live in Florida in a pretty conservative area (thank goodness). My local β€œnews”paper is doing the same thing. I just don’t subscribe anymore. I do , however, miss the crossword puzzles. πŸ˜•
