When the dems passed the "Great Society" legislation that gave us welfare, foodstamps and medicaid, these urban centers became crammed with both intellectual progs and scum looking for good government handouts. Losing manufacturing at the same time shed those cities of much of their middle class, thus allowing the two extremes of the prog/left ( the miseducated intellectual elite and the parasites - both wanting free stuff and padded government bureaucratic jobs - to dominate the political spectrum. Just as most of our urban centers have decayed while our welfare budgets have exploded without any of the remedies promised by those 1960's prog dems.

My mother had liver surgery in Tennessee during the "pandemic" I was the child in the best position to do so, so I went and spent a month there helping her. When I came back I was under the mandatory 2 week quarantine. It indirectly cost me the part time job I had.
I ardently hope that the malfeasance of covid lockdowns is unveiled and tied to a political agenda by the dems to destroy Trump at the cost of lives and treasure to the US. Somehow the citizens need to be wisened up about just who and what the democrats have become over the last century,
