so instead of just staying on standard time we will be one hour off the rest of the world? i remember a quote, only the government is dumb enough to think you can cut a foot off the top of a blanket and sew it on the bottom and have a longer blanket. the days will be the same length. we will have the EXACT SAME amount of sunshine. so are you a morning person or evening person

I still say, compromise. Change it by 30 minutes and leave it be.

Why isn’t standard time the time we stick with? Seems weird to keep DST.

It makes perfect sense that our hired help in the Senate is prideful of this BS pos, instead of working on Joe's lying and tomfuckery...🙄

The most important point here.

I live in AZ, so clocks changing has never been an issue for me. However, I would have liked to see them entirely get rid of DST, not make it permanent. I liked the winter months when AZ actually matched the Mountain time zone, like we are supposed to. Now, this essentially makes most of AZ part of the Pacific time zone, which kind of sucks. Not that it really matters to me one way or another, it’s just an hour.

but they aren't getting rid of DST. they are getting rid of standard time which will make you an hour off

Right, they are making DST permanent. AZ (which does not observe DST, except for the Navajo reservation) is technically part of the Mountain zone, but from March to Nov, we are actually an hour behind the rest of the Mountain zone, putting us at the same time as the Pacific. So…are they going to force AZ to implement DST? Or are we going to end up essentially in the Pacific zone if we continue to ignore DST?

or like the one county in indiana that doesn't do DST will have it's own time zone now lol

It will be pretty brutal in the winter with sunrise coming between 8-8:30 am. Not good for all those kids standing at bus stops.

That’s right. We have nothing else to worry about congress.

Honestly I'm happy about this because I have Seasonal Depression and when it's getting dark before I even get home from work is awful. Since Sunday I have been in such a better mood and more productive. That said, I can also see the problems here.

Big question: why take time to do this now when it's not taking effect for 18 months like there's no other more pressing matters? Our government is fukd up

Speaking of time…. FYI: Don’t talk about someone needing to be $lapped on Twitter. It will get your account locked. 🤣🤣 I’m out for 12 hours.
