Until recent human history there were just 4 times of the day - sunrise, high noon, sunset and midnight. That's really all that was needed. Now we divide our days into nanoseconds "for efficiency and precision". So the trains can run on time? Once you retire from the world of commerce you set your clock by the sun and moon (or the closing time of your favorite store) but everything else is relative to how you feel. We have made a planet that could not exist that way and that may be part of the problem.

There is get out of bed time, wait for the coffee to finish time, drink coffee time - then whatever time is wasted at work, travel home time... and back to bed time... and except for the wasted at work time... none of it requires a clock

That used to be my life until retirement and now it's - looks like the sun is up time, what shall I do with my day time and then sun is going down time what shall I do until it's time to go to bed time. Pretty much the same but less stressful. Actually, that wears thin in about 6 months time and now it's - what new business can I start that allows me to stay in my chair all day time.
